In November of 2019, I was honored to win the election for City-County Council District 16 and if you live in this great district, I want to hear your concerns! Please fill out the form below to get in touch with me.
Since being sworn in on January 1, 2020, I have had the opportunity to serve our neighbors on the Community Affairs Committee, Metropolitan and Economic Development Committee, Parks and Recreation Committee, and the Public Works Committee.
District 16 has seen its share of challenges and opportunities. While we are still in the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic and most of us have either had COVID or had loved ones, neighbors, co-workers, or friends stricken with disease--Public Health has been a priority of the Council’s focus while we work to get workers protected, get relief to hard-hit small businesses that form the backbone of our district, and keep each other safe by wearing masks, social distancing, and frequent washing of hands.
And yet, District 16 also continues to see its share of economic development including the Pan-Am Plaza/Convention Center expansion, Union House development, and the Elanco Complex/White River State Park Expansion on the site of the previous GM Stamping Plant.
While the challenges before us are clear, I believe the City-County Council is up to the task of helping Indianapolis transition to a safer, cleaner, and more inclusive place to live, study and work.
